Unabhängig Segelfliegen–
Der Reiz des Motorseglers

Die Vorteile gegenüber dem reinen Segelflugzeug erschließt sich Einem je intensiver man sich mit dieser Flugzeugkategorie beschäftigt.

Man kommt ohne fremde Hilfe in die Luft ! Und zwar zu jeder Zeit, so hoch man will und  wohin man will.Ist keine Thermik zu finden startet
man einfach per Knopfdruck den Motor wieder,klettert auf Höhe, und beginnt aufs Neue im Segelflug einen ,,Bart“ zu suchen.

Aber nicht nur im Segelflug ist der Motorsegler eine Augenweide.
Optisch sehr ansprechend ist es auch, mit leise laufendem Motor, in ,,Augenhöhe“ umher zu schleichen.

Der originalgetreue Aufbau der Modelle drängt sich geradezu auf, wobei ein Motorsegler wegen seiner niedrigen Fluggeschwindigkeit den Vorbildern zum Verwechseln nahe kommt.

Trotz aller positiven Eigenschaften führte der Motorsegler bislang jedoch eher ein  Schattendasein auf den meisten Modellflugplätzen.

Damit dies nicht so bleibt, veranstaltet eine kleine Gruppe, die sich bereits seit Jahren dieser Modellgategorie verschrieben hat mit großem Erfolg zwanglose, internationale Treffen.
Aus dieser Gruppe ist am 3.12. 2000 die

Motorsegler-Interessengemeinschaft

entstanden.

Die Ziele der Motorsegler – IG sind unter anderem eine stärkere Hervorhebung der
Motorseglersparte in der Modelllandschaft. Des Weiteren wollen wir, wenn gewünscht, mit Rat und Tat bei Neukonstruktionen behilflich
sein und den Bau von vorbildgetreuen Motorseglern fördern. Außerdem führen wir interessierte Mosepiloten zusammen und fördern den Erfahrungsaustausch im europäischen Rahmen.

Wenn auch Dein Herz für den Motorsegler schlägt, und Du gern unter Freunden bist,
dann laden wir Dich ein, Dich uns anzuschließen.

Independent soaring -
The charm of motor gliders

The advantage over pure gliders you will find out the more you think about this category of planes.
You’ll be able to lift off without any help from others – any time,
climbing as high as you want and whenever you want.
No thermal to find? No problem: Simply push the motor-start-button and climb up again to surge for a new thermal bubble.

But not only during soaring the motor glider is amazing. You also will enjoy slow flights with softly purring motor at eye level.

Building the models in reduced scale to a real one seems evident. Not only on ground – also during flight a motor glider model shows up very realistic due to its low speed.

Despite of all positive characteristics the motor glider lives in shadowy existence on most of our model airfields.

In order to change this, a small group of pilots, who committed themselves to this model category, since years organizes relaxed international meetings with great success.
From this team the 

Motor glider association

arose at 03 Dec 2000.

The primary goal of this association is to promote the motor gliders within the model scenery.
Furthermore we want – as desired – to offer advise and help for new projects and want to encourage building of scaled motor gliders.
Besides that we bring together all interested pilots and boost exchange of experiences over Europe.
